Plumbing & Pipework
Usually all pipework is replaced during a bathroom installation. All pipework installed will be copper with soldered fittings. It will be hidden under the floor and out of sight when above the floor. All waste pipes will be plastic and installed out of sight. I pride myself on the installations I have undertaken knowing the completed bathroom was worthy of any showroom.
Towel Radiators v's Radiator
Towel radiators are an important part of the aesthetics of a beautiful bathroom, but often they don't supply the heat requirement for the size of the room. To provide a warm bathroom in the midst of winter It is essential the kilowatt heat requirement is measured and adhered to. It is not unusual to have two forms of heat in a bathroom, such as a towel radiator and a normal radiator.
Different types of Shower
Combi showers are very good, but the water cannot be touched throughout the house while in use. Electric showers have the same problem and have poor flow. Gravity pumped showers do not suffer with flow problems when water is run elsewhere. Unfortunately, with gravity pumped showers you need a cylinder and large tanks in the loft.
